Angela Weymouth
Angela Weymouth is a Maine native, lifelong seeker of consciousness, and the owner of Maine Hatha Yoga. Her path to yoga began in her twenties, born from early struggles that led her to seek healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of self. Through practice, she discovered not only stability, but a way to transform fear and hardship into lasting change.
At just 28, guided by a vision larger than herself, Angela opened Maine Hatha Yoga in South Portland, establishing Maine’s original hot yoga studio. For more than 23 years, she has guided students through therapeutic, deeply healing practices rooted in tradition, consistency, and care.
Over time, Angela witnessed yoga’s capacity to go far beyond physical strength or flexibility. Many students shared that the practice helped them reclaim their lives while navigating addiction recovery, trauma, and profound life transitions. These experiences continue to shape Angela’s belief that yoga is a powerful tool for healing both body and spirit.
Her approach blends far-infrared heat, Bikram Method, Hatha sequencing, and mindful breathwork, creating space for balance, release, and renewal. Angela does not chase trends—her work is guided by lineage, results, and heart. Even while facing her own health challenges in recent years, she remained deeply committed to healing and evolution. Through intuition and lived experience, she incorporated Circular Breathing, expanding the tools she offers for restoring clarity, balance, and hope.
Angela resists the label of teacher, preferring instead to serve as a guide—supporting students as they access the wisdom they already carry. Under her stewardship, Maine Hatha Yoga has grown into more than a studio; it is a community rooted in resilience, accessibility, and transformation, with impact that continues to reach far beyond the hot room.
Alice Riccardi
Alice Riccardi has been a student of yoga for 26 years and a yoga teacher for 24 years. She is a 500-hour certified Baptiste Power Yoga teacher and an established E-RYT through Yoga Alliance.
Alice came to the practice of yoga at age 42, one year after the birth of her daughter, Sophia. Before becoming a yoga teacher, Alice was a modern dancer in both New York City and Boston. During her years as a dancer, she was introduced to the Alexander Technique, an educational method that supports improved coordination of the musculoskeletal system and can help ease chronic pain and discomfort caused by inefficient movement patterns.
After she stopped dancing, Alice pursued formal training to become an Alexander Technique teacher. She developed a dedicated home practice for three years before Sophia was born in 1999.
In 2001, Alice took her first Baptiste yoga class at the Baptiste Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Within a few months, she began assisting in the studio and supporting bootcamps and teacher trainings across the country. In 2002, Alice became a teacher at the Baptiste Institute, a role she held until 2005.
In 2006, Alice moved to Maine with her husband, Charles Terhune, where they opened Portland Power Yoga. After selling the studio in 2013, Alice went on to develop and lead Yoga Alliance–certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in Maine as well as in Washington, DC.
Since 2018, Alice has co-led certified Yoga Teacher Trainings in Iceland with Inga Magnusson, owner of Iceland Power Yoga.
Alice has been teaching and practicing Yin Yoga for 14 years. She is a lead facilitator, teacher, and faculty member at Grace & Glory Yoga Studios in New Jersey, where she has been leading Yin Yoga Level 1 and Level 2 teacher trainings since 2021. In 2024, Alice also led a Yin Yoga Level 1 training at Sweat Power Yoga in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
Currently, Alice teaches Yin Yoga classes through Ompractice, an online yoga studio established in 2017.
Alice’s teaching style is inclusive, strong, and compassionate. She believes in the power of yoga as a path to transformation, not just for some, but for everyone.

Rob Halpern
Hi, I’m Rob—a husband, dad, and lifelong yoga enthusiast. I’m a native Philadelphian who moved to Brunswick, Maine in 2022 with my wife, Rinna, and our seven-year-old son, Sigmund.
I fell in love with the Bikram Method after being introduced to the series in Ithaca, New York in 2000, and I’ve been practicing ever since. In 2019, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Blue Moon Yoga in Fresno, California.
I truly believe one of my purposes in this life is to share the therapeutic practices of yoga with as many people as possible. I’m deeply passionate about teaching and love witnessing the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits that students experience through consistent practice. My hope is that the tools learned on the mat carry into everyday life, supporting greater balance, clarity, and well-being.
When I’m not in the studio sweating, you can usually find me cooking meals, hiking, or making music with my band, Woolgathering.
